Ozone in chronic foot ulcers (Part three)

Case 6. An 82-year-old woman without accompanying diseases. For the last three years, she had a chronic ulcer expanded on the lateral aspect of the right foot. She had undergone regular treatment and surgical curettage, but the best result was that of Fig.6A. The patient decided to undergo ozone therapy. Fig.6B shows the result after 22 AHTma sessions.

Case 7. This case is not about foot ulcers but about the failure of a musculocutaneous free flap placed after an oncological laryngectomy in a 71-year-old man. Fig.7A shows the clinical aspect three months after the surgery. The surgeons were pessimistic about the implant. His daughter, an anesthesia nurse, forced her father and the surgeons to try ozone therapy as a last resort. After 30 AHTma sessions, the results shown in Fig.7B were obtained. The tracheostomy tube was removed.

Case 8. An 80-year-old woman, a heavy smoker, presented with a large lesion in the pretibial region. Echo Doppler revealed reduced peripheral flow as a consequence of arteriopathy in different parts of the body. The necrotic ulcer flap was resected, and ozone bagging was applied twice a week. The ulcer healed completely within a month (Fig. 8 A-C).
